Downloading data via FTPWhen you register you will be granted access both to the Web data portal and to the FTP site. Separate confirmation is sent that access has been granted for FTP downloading. To reach the FTP site: ftp ftp-esg.ucllnl.org Use the same username and password you provided during the portal registration process. FTP vs. portal accessDownloading data via FTP may provide faster download times. The main advantage of FTP is that you can download multiple files with a single mget operation. On the other hand, the portal provides more search and browse capability than does FTP. You may find it useful to start browsing via the portal to get a sense of what data is available, and how it is structured, then use FTP for higher volume data transfers.
